Humour in writing

If you could adapt a famous or memorable film dialogue to your professional skill, which would it be? Mine would be Liam Neeson's “I will look for you, I will find you” monologue from his 2008 thriller Taken and here's what I'll probably say over the phone in a quiet and menacing voice.

“I know who you are and I know how you write. If you think you can ChatGPT your way into writing I can tell you I will know. I have a very particular set of skills. Skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make editors like me a nightmare for people like you. If you write original content that’ll be the end of it. I will not take you to task, I will not strike out everything you write, but if you don’t, I will look for you, I will find you and I will make you rewrite the whole damn thing in front of me.”

Oh, that's great, Prashant! I especially like the reference to ChatGPT. And we all need a laugh...
